Literary translation
Shimanto Reza translates literary fiction and nonfiction from Dutch into English. His translations include prizewinning authors and are forthcoming from major UK and US publishers, often with institutional support.
His work has been supported by international institutions, residencies, and festivals, including the Amsterdam and Antwerp Translators’ Houses, Crossing Border Festival in The Hague, the Dutch Foundation for Literature, and Flanders Literature.

Accreditation
Shimanto Reza holds an MA in Literary Translation from the University of East Anglia, home of the British Centre for Literary Translation, and is accredited by Flanders Literature and the Dutch Foundation for Literature. He also leads translation workshops, including a student seminar at the University of Sheffield.
Editing
Shimanto Reza serves as Managing Editor at World Editions, an independent American publisher of international literary fiction. He also takes on select independent editorial projects, particularly in literary fiction and works in translation, supporting writers in the development of their manuscripts and artistic voice.

Writing
Shimanto Reza writes fiction, essays, and poetry in Dutch and English. His Dutch-language fiction has appeared in literary journals including De Revisor, DW B and Kluger Hans, and he has performed at Explore the North Festival. In English, his essays and articles have appeared in Asymptote and Lapidus.
Workshops
Shimanto Reza has developed creative writing workshops informed by relational practice, with a focus on attention, voice, and the conditions under which meaningful writing emerges. Drawing on his work as a translator, editor, and writer, these workshops explore writing as both literary craft and inquiry.
